Then there's the one time he doesn't. The one time he comes on the third Saturday. The third Saturday, that was wrong from the start. When everything fell apart.

8 years after Derek leaves the BAU, Spencer exists in the orbit of his life. Holding on to the peripherals, grateful for the snippets of him and his family that Derek is willing to share. He's not happy, but he's content. It's enough.
