Summary
After the Empty took Castiel, Dean pushed everything he felt inside a Very Secret, Very Closed Box in his head and swallowed the key. The Box had been intact and hermetic for two years in its corner of Dean’s mind, and because of that, Dean had been able to stay sane and focused. More or less.
But now, with Cas back, with every day they didn’t talk about what's between them, the Box is starting to leak.Castiel isn't complaining, far from it: He has a roof over his head, good shower pressure and food. He’s so grateful he’s afraid. Because he believed to have all those things once before, human and lost and confused, only to have the rug pulled under his feet.
And there’s the fact that, the last time he died, he carved his heart out for Dean to take, and the hunter hasn’t said anything about it.
Maybe that’s as good an answer as he’s going to get.Series

Summary
Dean is in Heaven, living out his days with little worry in his own home with his friends.
Castiel is back from the empty, saved by Jack, and installed as the commander of a dwindling angel garrison.
Sam is alive, married with his first child on the way. A young boy he plans on naming after his brother to keep his memory alive. He has retired from hunting.
When a Norse Goddess, Freyja, manages to gain access to heaven she has a proposal for Dean and Castiel. Regain their lives by helping her stop Ragnarok, a coming apocalypse that could wipe out the universe, or spend the rest of eternity suffering in hell and the empty.
Seeing they have no choice, they help her. But as they start to work on the case, not everything is as it seems.

Summary
Chuck has one last chance to write the story he wants. He’s starting from scratch, and this time he’ll make sure that his favorite characters follow the script.
Meanwhile in heaven, Dean is happy. Cas is alive, he gets to drive around with Baby as much as he wants, and he can visit his family whenever he feels like it. Everything is fine. Or so he tries to convince himself.

Cas is back from the Empty and Dean is committed to righting every wrong between them, including what Dean considers just morally wrong, which means he's going to give Cas the only thing that he said would ever make him happy; Dean himself. Because Cas isn't super interested in a hostage situation, Dean gets unexpected push back and now he's in for an uphill climb in which he's trying to convince Cas he's in love with him all the while trying to convince himself that he's not.

Summary
“I think I want to build a house.”
Cas looks up from his book, surprised: probably both that Dean spoke, and by the words that he said. “What about the bunker?”
“Not enough windows.” Dean shifts, hospital gown crinkling. His jello cup sits half-eaten on the white tray in front of him. “Now that there’s no Devil or God or cosmic threat—I want windows.”
Shutting his book, laying it on his lap, Cas asks, “Do you have a property in mind?”
“Yeah.” Dean picks up the jello cup again, spooning the red, wobbly stuff into his mouth. “Yeah, I know a place."

Cas is human. Dean doesn't die on the rebar. Together, they rebuild.
