Summary
The first goal of any foster placement is always reunification. Except…John didn’t seem to have anyone to be reunified with.
Jack and Robby are newly married, and have made the decision to become foster parents. Enter John Shen, a foster child struggling with diabetes, who could really use two brilliant doctors taking care of him...as long as they can put aside their own insecurities to be there for him.
Can be read alone, but this is also a prequel to Stay Gold--this is Jack and Robby eight years before that. They are less mentally healthy, less emotionally competent, and less experienced being parents. But they're still doing their best.
This story is complete and new chapters will be posted every Sunday.

That scene at the end of the Pitt where Mel is kind of numb and tired just KILLED me bc someone take care of that poor burnt out woman. So this fic bloomed out of the thought "Who takes care of Mel??"
I don't have autism and I've never been sexually assaulted, so I hope I did both themes justice, and please let me know if anything is off or inappropriate. I am asexual, so I'm not inviting feedback of how I wrote that aspect of the story. Thanks for reading!

Macey comes to Harvey for help when Trevor takes things too far. Harvey is very emotionally competent (Donna magic) and very protective big bro.
There's no Grammy in this story and nothing illegal about Macey's job.
Finished suits, and had a rough thanksgiving (are the two related? maybe) so compliments would be greatly appreciated.
