    Clearly, friends are all Naruto wants to be – even in spite of the way he kisses his way up Sasuke's body, touching him like lovers do.

    It feels like something akin to worship. It feels an awful lot like love.

    But it can't be.

    Because how could it be love when Naruto has always refused to acknowledge it? He'd chase Sasuke to the ends of the earth and back forever, but he wouldn't call that love. It's always just "because you're my friend". And Sasuke is sick of it.

    Панталоне не сдвинулся с места, пока размеренный стук трости не отдалился и не послышался хлопок закрывающейся двери. Лишь тогда он позволил приподнятым в вежливой улыбке уголкам губ опуститься и судорожно вздохнул.
