Caitlyn awakes to a bedroom far brighter than it typically is at the start of her day, the sun sliding closer towards its afternoon position than morning.
They’d been out late last night, on surveillance for their most recent case. She’d barely had the energy to pull off her uniform before falling into bed, let alone draw the curtains. As a result, golden beams of sunlight dance through the room, illuminating both the bed and the person laying beside her in it.

Summary
The Addams Family curse has plagued their lineage for centuries, giving them a large family tree and an even more expansive cemetery. For a member of the Addams Family, love is unlike any other experience in their lives. But unrequited love for an Addams is a death sentence of heartbreak and insanity. Over half of the Addams cemetery is dedicated to those who had loved but were unloved in return. And now the youngest daughter of their lineage was destined to be buried there as well, and alarmingly soon too. Her love fruitless and her beloved with another. So, with an uncompromising determination she threw herself into all kinds of dangers in a desperate endeavor to keep herself out of the curse-damned part of the burial grounds. But, when she returns to her dorm room, covered in blood and wounds, and sees the look of concern in the sky blue eyes of her love, she begins to realize just how futile her attempts to evade her destiny actually are.
