Satoru’s eyes flick to her, barely wavering as she breaks the silence. She holds out her hand, a few pieces of lemon and strawberry flavored hard candies resting on it. She picks out the lemon knowing Satoru prefers strawberry.
“Want one?” She asks. Satoru tilts his head. Like a doll. The sight is only mildly unsettling.
“What’s that?” The boy asks in return, his body still stiff and swallowed under the older-Satoru’s teaching uniform.
“Candies. It’s sweet. Strawberry flavored. Wanna try one?” She keeps her voice soft, lets a little bit of the love she keeps for him peak through, can see the way Satoru’s eyes twinkle in curiosity before it's back to a blank stare.
Has anyone ever offered this boy kindness?

Summary
Injured and unable to teleport back to the school, Gojo Satoru brings his students to the first safe place he could think of. He survives with the hesitant help of those around him and takes an unplanned trip down memory lane, bringing everyone with him. In doing so, he may or may not hatch a plan to save what’s important to him even if it means making as many enemies as he can afford to make.
(AU: canon divergent in that Getou never declared war and unleashed an army of curses, so Gojo hasn’t killed Getou, but everything up to that point remains the same.)

The words still rang in his ears, the sting of betrayal still tearing his heart apart even now. Because out of everyone, Suguru was the only one. The only one to have ever seen him as a person.
In the end, the answer was simple, his Six Eyes the reason the two of the together were no longer the strongest. And so... He'd just take them out, hollow himself out till only blood and empty eye sockets remained and prove to him. Prove to Suguru that he was nothing more and nothing less than Gojo Satoru.
Or, Gojo has really bad coping mechanisms

But those hands remained on his face, cradling it so gently that Satoru just wanted to lose himself right here, in this moment.
“You are,” Suguru confirmed. “But that doesn’t mean that this isn’t dangerous for you, Satoru. You still have your weaknesses.”
You are one of those weaknesses, Satoru wanted to say, but held his tongue, unwilling to voice such a thing into the world where it could take shape.
“They couldn’t hurt me…”

For a moment, he’s back in the hospital with his head throbbing and immense pain coursing through his veins, his lungs on the verge of collapse, his body begging for it all to end. He’s tired, so tired. Tired of not knowing anything, tired of the constant aches, tired of trying to find himself with nothing to show.
“I don’t understand.” His voice, over the flames and screams in his head, comes out quiet. He’s not sure if he even said the words out loud or if he merely moved his lips, mute with nothing but ragged breath escaping.
A strong arm pulls him back into the priest’s warm chest.
“You reek of monkey.”Temporary amnesia due to severe trauma. It’s all the doctor can tell Satoru when he wakes up bloodied and bruised with no ID on him and no fingerprints matching any record. Plagued with the idea that his life must have been meaningless if no one is even looking for him, Satoru finds himself in front of a buddhist temple that proves him otherwise. As the haze around his memories clears, the guesses of who did this to him and why turn muddier and muddier.

Those words were a fact as much as they were one of the core foundations of Jujutsu society. Since the day Gojo Satoru was born at the Gojo estate that cold winter morning, to the moment he opened his eyes and blessed the jujutsu world with his gaze Gojo Satoru was the strongest.
So then why did he lay in a pool of his own blood?
Satoru was supposed to be one of the three most promising sorcerers today-
Until the wildcard of a man whom Satoru hadn’t even known existed stabbed him through the heart not once, but twice.
The first time had been with the inverted spear of heaven, capable of penetrating infinity.
The second, fatal stab had been with a average cursed energy-less kitchen knife.
The taste of his own blood drowning him began growing distant as the holder of Six eyes and limitless, first in centuries shut his eyes for the final time. Drowning in a pool of blood, failure, and rage so strong curses across Japan could feel it from miles away.
Or
Gojo dies by a cursed energy-less cooking knife and comes back a decade later as a calamity grade curse and causes many other timeline changes.
