Summary
Nakamura hops onto his bike, drops the notebook and box into his bike’s basket and starts to pedal for his life down the street. A few minutes later he’s biking up and down a hill trying and failing to hold back his tears. He then finally arrives at his destination, a fenced in lookout on a cliff, he gets off his bike, grabs his stuff out of the basket and sets the bike on the side of the road. He starts to stumble over to the lookout with the notebook and the wrapped box clutched tightly to his chest, but he doesn’t get very far before he realizes that someone is already there, leaning on the fence and looking up at the night sky.
