Summary
It might have been the dress. Plain and light so it was all the easier to trek through the brush and the lush grass dotted with beautiful streaks of yellows and blues the wildflowers that spring offered, provided. Not the most royal colour either. Stained in streaks of dirt and damp from where Merlin had splashed her in their rudimentary attempt to take a drink. Simple and casual enough for their ill-fated herb hunting trip, which was really more of an excuse to romp around in the lovely tepid temperatures of the darling afternoon sun.
Or maybe it was the lacking jewels, her neck bare and her coronet purposefully forgotten up in her chambers as to not drip with sweat and mud. Or maybe it was the wind that had swept her barely tamed curls up at all angles and set about frizz in a halo around her head.
Or maybe, she thought as a large hand on her shoulder forced her knees to hit the ground, these were just simply idiot.
i.e Gwen and Merlin playing with their food!

Summary
It was the perfect excuse as it pelted loudly against windows with winds dangerous vibrating walls. A reason to curl up by a nice fire and have a lovely drink or two. Loving the rain, not at all in his wandering days, but now that he found himself with responsibilities it was nothing but the best when the days were washed away in drips and drops.
But no, not this time. This time he was near excited by the responsibility waiting for him. Uncurling deep in his chest like a bird flapping away wetness on their wings.
i.e Merlin enjoying the rain and Gwaine trying to see why.

Summary
Falling, as it turns out, is not an overly pleasant feeling. Stomach hitting your throat, pulse vibrating so loud it washed through you worse than the rage of the ocean, knees trembling while feet left the lovely stability of the ground, breaths stuttering and spiking in the awful excitement of plummeting. All of it not even near something he would desire to have experienced. And well, he seriously wished it was a feeling that should have been much more foreign than it was.
i.e Merlin's sacrificial nature vs Gwaine's need to protect

Summary
A stranger to fill his bed, maybe at one point slightly more common of a situation than it was now, given the minor, all encompassing hold a certain someone had over him, yet nothing really too out of the ordinary to have him sticking well to shock.
No, what made this one so very different from the rest was the novel scar taking shape, freshly crusted over and having rubbed a smear of blood over Gwaine’s ribs. Pale skin giving way to red irritation in the markings of his own teeth. Deep ridges and harsh valleys distinguishing fangs and a closed circle of desire and union.
i.e uh oh Merlin and Gwaine got drunk last night and sort of, kind of, got married (or mated, really)... Let's give Gwaine a mental breakdown over it :)

Summary
“Hold me” Merlin whispered. A quaint thing, nearer a breath than a real request. Almost completely toppled by the crack and crinkle of the fire that bid away the darkness on this moonless night.
i.e something soft for me that you all can read too, I guess??

Summary
Gwaine stumbles out of a losing battle bleeding and half-dead, only to collapse in a strange forest where nothing behaves as it should. There he meets Merlin—an otherworldly, feral forest spirit who heals him without hesitation and immediately declares him in debt.
The price, it turns out, is not gold, but impossible errands, stolen treasures, and “shiny things” no human is meant to find. Each return drags Gwaine deeper into Merlin’s shifting grove, where time bends, the forest listens, and the creature who calls him stupid man begins to call him something far more dangerous; “mine”

Summary
"Merlin," Arthur repeated impatiently. "Hunith's son. Where has he run off to?"
The villager looked at him hesitantly. "H-Hunith doesn't have a son, sire."
Arthur goes with Merlin to protect his hometown. And no one there recognizes him.
