Maybe before, Shane would get jealous. Jealous every time Ilya mentioned Svetlana even after he knew better, jealous of every tabloid photo of Ilya with yet another woman at some club. Not that Shane was ever looking. Not that Shane let himself think that he cared.
Now, Shane cares a little too much. He cares so much, so wholly and so wildly sometimes that it scares him. He loves Ilya, and part of loving someone means trusting them too. Shane trusts Ilya with every fiber of his heart and his soul.
Ilya’s hot new physical therapist, maybe not so much.
