    "... Red King, long time, no see." Grian pulls up the courage to say. Ren freezes.
    "You remember?"
    "Unfortunately, I thought I remembered because I won, but apparently not."
    "I guess a congratulations is in order then, well done." Ren admits, bowing slightly to Grian, looking like it physically pained him to do so.

    "There's no glory in being the last alive in a war like that." Grian frowns. "If it was honourable, we would've seized fighting when Scar managed to slay you and Martyn, maybe when we finally killed the last of your Red Army, at a push. Instead, we ruined what little peace we had by killing each other."

    --

    Or, Grian comes back to Hermitcraft to find that no one remembers the events of Third Life... until he bumps into one of the last people he wanted to see: The Red King. Somehow, despite the two being plagued by memories of them being enemies, they find comfort in sharing their stories.

    The imposter turned toward him with that familiar grin, the one he knew down to its every wrinkle.

    Without a word, Grian let the glamor fall.

    “Drop the act,” he said, voice low and dangerous.

    The thing that looked like Scar tilted its head. The smile didn’t falter. If anything, it widened to an inhuman length. It wasn’t a trick of the light, Grian knew.

    “Diamond. It’s been so long. We’ve missed you.”

    or; Scar is still stuck in Secret Life, and the version back on hermitcraft is an imposter.

    They’re after him. That’s all he knows — pain eclipsing everything else.

    Blood pours from the gaping wound across his stomach, hot and sticky, each step a gamble with gravity and guts. His vision flickers at the edges. He should have stopped by now.

    He had a plan. He would leave his chambers when They were preoccupied Watching the first installment of MCC, and quietly make his way to Their portal hall.

    He had been foolish for ever thinking he could avoid Their Eyes.

    So now, he's getting chased with his insides simultaneously threatening to spill out.

    Or; Grian escapes the downside-up, and crashlands onto Hermitcraft — with a hint of stockholm syndrome. :)

    “One more life to go…” they chant, their voices a hollow echo. “One more life to go…"

    And this time, Grian doesn’t even hesitate.

    He walks to the edge of the cliff, looking out over the desert they once fought to protect. The wind blows softly, carrying with it the faintest whisper of memories. Grian closes his eyes, feeling the breeze brush against his useless, clipped wings, a strange ache in his chest.

    He takes a deep breath, stepping forward, his taloned feet finding only the air beneath him.

    And then he’s falling.

    It felt like flying.

    or; after beating Scar to death in the cactus ring, Grian jumps off monopoly mountain to escape the pain and devastation. Waking up back on hermitcraft, Grian realizes he is the only one to remember the events of third life.

    He also does not remember anything *but* third life.
