It had been only a handful of weeks since the collider, only a handful of days since the Spider had returned back to his dark and stormy world. He grieved, of course, but, eventually, he found them again.
Or, in actuality, they found him.
He had just finished up a fight with another Pawn- one much younger and much more corrupted than him- when the first flickers of a portal arrived. He barely had time to thwip the little webbing he had left onto his side and cover the wound up with his Uncle’s coat before he was taken back to Miles’ world.

It was a dark and rainy night when Nick Valentine walked into his office.
He wasn’t sure why he wasn’t at home with his dame. What he was after wasn’t anything that needed to be done in his office, nor was he sure why the rainy skies hadn’t soaked him to the bone.
All he knows is that he has a case and the fact that he needs to get it done.
He opened the door in front of him with a soft sigh and immediately froze.
Sitting in his office, on his desk, was a familiar redhead. A redhead that looked like she had gone through hell.
