Summary
He doesn't really want to fuck right now, despite what his body is signaling. The prospect honestly makes him feel a little ill. Yet he would do anything to keep Louis here another five minutes, do anything just to keep feeling his hands on his skin. Maybe afterwards, if Lestat pleases him, he'll be held, kissed, and that gaping void will fill just the tiniest bit, the loneliness will become bearable for a little while.
A run-in with the local coven and a disagreement with his mother leaves Lestat in a bad place. He's surprised at who comes looking for him.

Shortly after Queen of the Damned and 'The Devil's Minion', Armand's left alone and desolate in Night Island, his only fledgling having abandoned him. Thankfully, Louis still holds enough affection for the vampire he once found in Paris to help him through.
I couldn't find any fics that extrapolated on missing scenes of Louis and Armand’s companionship between Night Island and the forming of their home in Trinity Gate. This fic fills that gap.

One of those 24-hour joints, with stacks of extra-large machines with chipped white paint, benches polished by millions of asscheeks, and an obligatory flickering fluorescent bulb. A classic. Brings back memories of getting kicked out of the house by a soon-to-be ex-wife. Twice.
“Okay?” Daniel says, after a moment passes and Armand is still glued to the window, staring with those big lemur eyes of his.
“Let’s go inside.”
See, Daniel should have known he didn’t just mean inside the building.
Or: Armand discovers a laundromat and decides to have a spa day; Daniel almost manages not to get in trouble.

Amadeo didn’t match the smile. “I already know the story of your life.”
“No.” Riccardo knew it sounded harsh. He didn’t mean for it to, but perhaps it needed to be. There had been pain. There would be more pain. They had to acknowledge it to heal it. “No, you don’t. I read your book. And I don’t blame you in the least, ‘Deo, but it’s plain as day that you never knew a fraction of my life. There was one being in your life back then who attracted your gaze, and you were blind to everything else.”
A short flash of the wounded animal. Riccardo didn’t want that. He pulled his chair forwards, obscuring the burn on the carpet.
“If you’ll listen, I’d like to tell you the things you never knew. The things you never understood. I’d like to share my life with you. And then I’d like to share everything that came afterwards.”
OR: Riccardo's first meeting with Armand as a ghost (as in Prince Lestat).

He lays his head gently against the man’s shoulder, shuts his eyes, and pretends he’s being held. Pretends that the rocking motions are soothing instead of agony. Pretends the panting whispers in his ear are reassurances, instead of B-grade porn dialogue. Pretends that it’s Daniel inside of him.
The longer these men find their pleasure in him, the longer he can pretend that Daniel will ever hold him again.
The first man finishes. A new one takes his place behind him. More pain. More being held. The new man puts a hand on Armand’s stomach, comments something about feeling himself inside him.
It’s intimate, Armand tells himself. He’s cradling Armand so close.
