Jayce and Viktor have been together since their college days. By the time they graduated, moving in together felt less like a decision and more like the natural next step and began working at the Academy.
A few months ago, they were handed a set of strange crystals, supposedly they hold magic in them, passed down after multiple research teams failed to unlock their secrets. They knew the assignment was meant to keep them occupied until more suitable work opened up. No one expected much to come of it.
Then everything changed.
Jayce discovered he was pregnant.
Now Jayce is caught between two impossible problems: unraveling the mystery of crystals, and learning how to live with the reality of an unexpected child. All while carrying a secret he hasn’t yet found the courage to share with the person he trusts most.
Because solving magical anomalies is one thing.

Summary

So, when Viktor steps into Piltover’s pristine halls and finds himself face-to-face with Jayce again, it feels like cruel irony. Worse, the two are paired together for a project. Viktor is convinced it will be a nightmare—Jayce represents everything he resents about Piltover.
Yet as they work side by side, cracks begin to show. Jayce isn’t what he expected. He’s frustrating, yes, but also thoughtful in ways Viktor hadn’t considered.
