Audrey doesn’t get out, she works hard as a nurse and is about to become a Grandma for goodness sake. She’s not interested in finding a fella either, for any use, especially one who is the local vet and is wearing lovely aftershave. Especially not him.
Born from a plot bunny involving a 1940’s style cotton bikini, modern day Audrey is going back to the era we know her from the best by way of a WW2 victory re-enactment party.
Think Village Halls, Union Flags and Vera Lynn.

Siegfried and Audrey have resumed reading the Peter Wimsey series, and the reveal of a clue causes some family entertainment, and an unplanned final reading session that doesn't go quite to plan. Tristan wants to protect his Mrs H, and Dorothy is curious about the Siegfried she doesn't usually see, and she discovers a little more than expected.

Had he been able, he would have gladly switched places with him on the train to RAVC training. He would have gladly given his life to see that Tristan was safe. But he couldn’t. And so, he fretted.
Tristan Farnon was simultaneously the bane of his very existence, and the apple of his eye. And nothing would stop him from doing his best to take care of him. Not the Gerries, not the British government, not even Tristan himself. Because for Siegfried, Tristan was so much more than his annoying little brother. He was his reason for existing.
