Bookmarker's Notes
The number of times I have watched this is probably too embarrassing to say.
I'm not sure it's possible for a more homestuck thing to exist, despite and even because of its hostility toward homestuck's narrative and creator with regard to their treatment of homestuck's characters. Also, it's just really funny. -

Are you prepared for some crazy fucking pony adventures?
(An audio version of sonnetstuck's brilliant Detective Pony fanwork)Bookmarked by Greyingdawns

Bookmarker's Notes
Detective Pony was originally written by Jeanne Betancourt.
The first two pages were altered by Andrew Hussie, pretending to be Dirk Strider.
The rest of the pages were altered by sonnetstuck, also pretending to be Dirk Strider.
The book is read by Duckface as yet another person pretending to be Dirk Strider, and Naked Bee, as Jeanne Betancourt, a fourth character who may or may not be Dirk Strider.
This recording was instigated, perpetrated, and assembled by Naked Bee. -

Summary
"And then there's a customized copy of PONY PALS, a gift to you on your 14th birthday from the slippery Mr. Strider. Each page contains lovingly hand-written commentary on the deeds of this intrepid young horse. Later, about halfway through the book, rather than see the gag through to the bitter end, Strider began pasting over entire pages of original text with his own completely rewritten version of the story, while keeping all the chapter titles. His revision is a tough, emotionally draining read. But it's cathartic, in all the worst ways possible.
He tends to get carried away with his projects."Note: this work is an altered book, and it plays on the physical relationship between the original pages and the edited text. As such, it's presented as a series of images. Reading the images is the only way to get the full experience, but I'm aware that some people can't/don't want to read it that way. So if that's the case, you can skip to chapter 13, which is a text-only version of the story, including rough descriptions of the most important illustrations.

Bookmarker's Notes
Hussie may yet be hoarding the version of Detective Pony Dirk eventually gave to Jane, but here we have something so much better. That's right; sonnetstuck has retrieved the fabled original draft, the one Dirk may or may not have actually been brave enough to sendificate to Jane, the one in which the story, rather than proceeding as originally expected (though that version is referenced in chapter 8), veers into something more self-indulgent, more personal, and, in spite or in fact because of layer after layer of irony, more truthful. It's as painfully Dirk Strider as you could reasonably expect a thing to be. (He tends to get carried away with his projects.)

Stan asked, “What would you say if I told you I got abducted by aliens last night? With Craig, Tweek and Cartman?”
Kyle raised his eyebrows. “I’d say that your wet dreams are getting weirdly specific and you should stop telling me about them.”
