Summary
Deciding to take a risk, Xie Lian let the fabric fall from his hands onto the floor and very slowly reclined himself back so that he was propped on his elbows, bare abdomen on full display. Hua Cheng’s eye followed the movement, his eyebrow twitching slightly. Xie Lian closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, holding it for several seconds before releasing it, opening his eyes halfway to return the other’s gaze.
“Gege,” Hua Cheng said, something unraveling in his tone. The shirt he’d been fiddling with fell from his grasp. “What are you doing?”
“...Making myself comfortable,” Xie Lian responded slowly.
“No, gege. You’re doing something else.”
Hua Cheng was hosting a college party at his house and it was going great...that is, until Xie Lian's bad luck found him shirtless in Hua Cheng's room, alcohol-stained shirt in hand. A result of somebody's drink spilling on him. The more Xie Lian thought about it, the situation didn't seem so bad. He had been crushing on Hua Cheng since they'd met, after all.

“Well, well, well,” a slow voice drawls, cocky and deep, startling Xie Lian out of his thoughts. “If it isn't the Crown Prince.”
He hadn't even heard anyone come in...
He freezes at the first sound of footsteps, at the first sound of bells.
“Who...who's there?” he asks, voice shaking from more than just anticipation.
He tugs at the ropes without meaning to, straining towards the sound of the man approaching him, wishing he could see anything, wishing he wasn't trapped like this.
Completely at the mercy of the person in the room with him.

San Lang wouldn’t be happy if he heard about this, Xie Lian thinks as he treads ahead in the raging snowstorm, shivering slightly. He’d be so worried if he heard I got in trouble again…
Getting in trouble, in itself, is hardly new to Xie Lian. Few things can faze him anymore after the centuries spent bearing the burden of his bad luck, and his body is desensitised to all kinds of discomfort, pain and suffering.
