Summary
Li777lllly challenged me to write a modern version of ‘Story of Kunning Palace’.
So - here is the beginning. The challenge is to mix up the story a little and put in some surprising elements, but also to keep true to the original TV show. So far I am having fun. No it’s not going to be as elaborate as the show, but I am going to try to keep to the general story arc.

[I didn’t actually mean to write this - I meant to finish off one of the other stories I’m writing. But… here we are. I did promise to write something about the perspective of Xie Wei’s sidekicks, back when I was looking at the eunuchs’ view of this drama. Now finished.]
