Ringo looked numb, almost as if he wasn’t fully present, or like he was trying to force his mind away from the situation. He brought his eyes up to face George.
“I don’t want to be here George.”
His lower lip started to quiver and he bit it, not wanting to cry again.
“We can leave then! We don’t have to be here,” George stated reassuringly. “Anywhere you want to go, just say the word.”
“No George…” Ringo gulped. “I don’t want to be… here.” He whispered the last part, almost hoping that George wouldn’t hear it.
"I don't want to be here."
