A black cat watched through the window of an old cottage, the storm mimicking his rage as he watched the people inside. Not only had the humans stolen from their realm, they were stupid enough to remain in their home, yet the theft wasn’t what enraged him the most, the toddler covered in soot and dirt sleeping on the cold stone by the firepit. The three other children in the home slept in beds on the small loft, and the parents in the back room, yet this one was made to sleep on the stone floor. With a hiss on his lips he vanished into the night, vouching to return to the cottage.
