There are some benefits to being a mermaid, but being theoretically allergic to water is not one of them.
Trying to get a degree is hard enough on its own! If Nobara had known college students were so fond of throwing balloons full of water around campus when the end of the term came, she never would've enrolled. After spending 2 hours stranded in the middle of the campus pool, she feels exhausted, full of regret.
Which is probably why she doesn't notice someone sneaking up to her from the side until she hears a familiar voice speak.
