Summary
This is pretty much a series of one-shots because I saw one really specific fic with a similar concept and then when I looked for more Newsies x WSS there were like 5 fics so I'm making some more because the concept is pretty interesting (to me at least)
Why am I doing this in a series instead of just a multi-chapter fic? Why not (also I keep giving up on multi-chapter fics so I figured this would be better)

Steve nods, even though the explanation doesn’t sit right.
Because the memories are still there. Flickering behind his eyes everytime he blinks. The laughter, the fear, the boy with the blurred face and sunny smile that ached like a missing limb.
The losers.
The words echo in his head.
Steve lies back against the pillow, staring at the ceiling.
Somewhere deep inside him, something that has been locked for a very long time just cracked open.
And he doesn’t think it’ll be closing anytime soon.
Or my take on if Steve was originally Richie and when he left Derry, he left a piece of himself as well.
