She couldn’t, wouldn’t admit she liked the way they fought. But oh she liked the way Celene lost their fights; begging, smirking, and oh so willing.
Would it be worse to take Celene’s bait, or worse to suffer the disappointment of not rising to the challenge?

“By my count that is still two more than you.” The unfamiliar woman’s voice replied, matching Celene’s vicious snarl.
Anora had not expected to find herself eavesdropping on the conversation behind a heavy velveteen curtain in the Grande Royeaux Theatre. Of course, she’d begrudgingly made her peace with that gut-wrenching twist of fate that had landed her in Val Royeaux. It was specifically the curtain that she had not expected.

Summary
‘The Filthy Oar,’ was not, as the name would suggest a rowing boat. It was rather, a well-appointed sea going sailing boat that Isabela had commandeered.
Among the well-stocked with malachite-inked maps the cramped navigator’s deck had a beautiful mother-of-pearl compass set into the table with which to australise oneself. The thought crossed Isabela’s mind, at least twice a day, if she could pry it out without damaging it too much.
She did however, take the majestic, broad-rimmed and befeathered captain’s hat she found in a cubby under the berth. It was extravagant enough to make an Antivan blush. If it begged the question, did the previous owner of ‘the Filthy Oar’ have considerably more money than sense? Then the answer was so obvious that it rather made the thief of the ship a net moral good.

Summary
Anders had been feeling pretty pleased with himself, considering the extensive renovations to the Keep since the Commander had arrived, it was meant to be safe. He, Oghren and Justice had the easy job of protecting Amarathine Keep.
But the Commander had only been gone almost two hours before Justice let slip that he’d been asked to hang back to keep an eye on the unreliable Anders and Oghren, while she went off with the ‘real Wardens’ to do the ‘real Warden stuff.’
Anders hadn’t even gotten enough time to get into a really good sulk before a stinking army of Darkspawn were seen lumbering down the North Road and heading straight towards them. Even then the battle was mostly a lark, a good excuse to shoot lightning at darkspawn from the curtain walls - until Kristoff died.

Vigil's Keep needs all the Wardens they can get, and when Justice 'dies' in Battle, Anders thinks this is his moment to steal Karl from the Circle. Shame Orlais has already picked out a replacement: one Jean-Marc Stroud.
