Summary
Bonecrusher loves showboating for his partners. Most notably, he loves flashing his valve at them in public.
Fwip-fwip and that's all it took. He'd have a cute, flustered partner and plausible deniability. It was awesome.
However, when he gets caught in the act one day, Prowl worries that he's placed his reputation on the line and requests that he stop... to immediate resistance from Bonecrusher.
Prowl then initiates an effort to dissuade further flashing through punishment. The rest of their partners are all too happy to join in.

A story of incredible loss, and then what comes after.
'Aren't you gonna lay down?' Bonecrusher signs. 'It's late."
"Oh we can't," says Mixmaster from where he's tucked up under Long Haul's arm.
'The frag not?' signs Bonecrusher. 'Don't tell me you ain't tired?'
Mixmaster gestures slowly but dramatically at their laps. Across them, stretching from Long Haul's left thigh and over both of Mixmaster's, is a bright white and dark black shape that contrasts sharply with all of their paint.
'Okay? So wake him up, or pick him up, or whatever?'
"He's fast asleep," whispers Mixmaster, aghast. "We can't. What if he gets up and leaves?"
'Let him leave?!' This is ridiculous.
"You know, I think we're fine. More than fine, really."
Bonecrusher swings around to squint at Scavenger. 'And what's your excuse?'
Scavenger gestures at the itty bitty overlap of a single white foot on the edge of his thigh.
Bonecrusher is in a sparkbond with absolute clowns.

Summary
Instead of Starscream being the well-known and feared Second-In-Command of the Decepticons, he’s practically an urban legend among Autobots and Decepticons alike, only known through vague prisoner-of-war stories and scattered attributions of battle plans and weapon designs. Most mecha are of the opinion that this “Starscream” is a mere myth to make Megatron look more menacing, and others (notably the Autobot spec-ops) often make jokes about ‘Spooky Screamer’ whenever a particularly strange case pops up.
This changes when Jazz and his team uncover an abandoned Decepticon laboratory on Earth, only to find a dying seekerlet locked in its depths.
And thus, Starscream is no longer a myth.

Summary
Jazz knew to expect the unexpected with the Society for Creative Redistribution. They help a lot of mecha, but don't exactly do it in a legal or orderly way.
When he intercepted some cargo being moved on the black market, he hadn't expected it to be a sparkling. He hadn't expected to lose an arm in the ensuing scuffle either.
He absolutely hadn't expected his fellow society members to ditch him in a safehouse to care for the sparkling while he recovered.
It was fine. Bigger idiots than him mentored sparklings all the time. He could handle it.
