Toshinori tries to assure his colleague that he’s fine, he’d just been caught off guard, but the words get caught in his throat, and he’s forced to swallow them back. This is… familiar, isn’t it? This has happened before, hasn’t it?

“Yagi?”
Even if it’s the strongest sense of déjà vu Toshinori has ever experienced, “I… I’m alright, Aizawa. Sorry. I didn’t sleep well, and I think I must have been half-dreaming when you walked in. I suppose my instincts just aren’t what they used to be.”
At that, Aizawa raises a brow and shakes his head, “I don’t know about that. I don’t think I’d trust anyone’s instincts more than yours.”
Toshinori finds himself in a race against time to save his successor. Over and over and over again.

John brought his hands to his sides. “I made some food. It’s hot now, but it probably won’t be too cold if you want to take a shower first. Are you…okay?”
He tried to keep the worry from his voice even when he thought the gaze Arthur cast his way was hazier than usual. He might not have been able to see him, but John considered himself to have a fairly accurate read on when Arthur was listening to him and when he wasn’t. (When he was so deep into his own subconscious that John may as well have been in a different room.)
“Arthur.”
Arthur blinked, eyelids shuttering rapidly like a malfunctioning camera. “…John? Sorry. Did you say something?”
Fuck.

Izuku has a quirk that allows him to turn into a cat, but as of now...He's kind of stuck like this, like a cat, for /months/. It's fine, though, it means that now he can't be chased by Eraser-Head! After months of running away from that man, he would never suspect he was a cat! He thought he cheated the system, except that being a cat—a kitten—is harder than being a human. And so he got pretty roughed up when a rock was thrown at him, and many other things piled up the same way snow or trash piles up on the street.
