Summary
Ragatha likes to think she's good at keeping everyone together.
Unfortunately, the Digital Circus seems determined to prove her wrong.
As tensions rise between Pomni and Jax after the gun adventure, new adventures push everyone closer to their breaking point. Ragatha finds herself increasingly drawn to Pomni—not just out of concern, but for reasons she's trying very hard not to examine. Between old wounds, misunderstandings, and the ever-present threat of abstraction, holding the group together may be harder than ever before, especially with her own sanity hanging in the balance.
After all, the circus was no place for happy endings.

“Everyone’s asleep,” Ragatha explained gently, which made sense for the lights only being on only in the living room and no chatter being heard from outside. “What’s your name, love?”
Pomni looked up from her cup and stared at Ragatha. The urge to say a different name, whatever her real name was, pressed at the back of her skull like a headache. But she knew no other name, did she? “I’m… Pomni.”
Ragatha smiled a little more genuinely now. “It’s lovely to meet you, Pomni.”

"Pomni?" Thank god. Pomni lets out a shaky, relieved breath, leaning against her desk. Ragatha's side of the phone is overflowing with background noise, her voice crackling and getting lost in the mix.
"Hi- yes, hello." She stammers, remnants of anxiety still buzzing deep in her stomach. "Is everything okay?"
The sound of a door shutting. It gets quieter, the noise of the party replaced with wind. Then, carefree and slurred, "Yeah, why?"
Pomni blinks a few times. She answers, monotone, "You called me three times."
Ragatha pauses briefly. Pomni can almost imagine her, eyebrows furrowed and eyes squinting as she attempts to remember why she called so many times. She's very animated, and it never fails to get a laugh out of her.
"Oh, yeah!" The ginger perks up after a moment, high pitched and unfiltered. "Jax threw up on Zooble so we're coming home.."
... Right.

Summary
There's an empty circus to perhaps rebuild, a lot of questions to ponder, and a lot of 'what-now's they'll all have to figure out. But right now, Ragatha's still trying to forget her mother's gaze. It isn't working.
She'll have to forget her, to move on, and to start 'conjuring' a new life here, not that she even knows how to do that yet. But, then, knowing how to do it isn't a requirement; she only has to be thinking about it hard enough, and the subject of her mind will find her.
Set in the immediate aftermath of Episode 8.

A Ragdoll. Made of cloth and stuffing, stabbed and shot like it meant absolutely nothing.
Every other adventure ends with a sliced off limp or a gash that leaves a path of fluff in her wake.
Ragatha learned to fix herself with a needle and thread. Reattaching her eye, or sewing closed a gash in her leg.She'd become accustomed to it.
Possibly too accustomed.
Ragatha tries to hide her brokenness and Pomni chooses to support her. A lovely friendship blooms, but what if Ragatha want's more? Is she willing to deal with going against the rigid plan she holds herself to in order to finally have what she wants ?

“Yea, that’s what Pomni does, just… leaves people behind.” She saw Pomni quickly turn and face her, along with the rest of the crew.
“HEY! I told you to never mention that again!” Pomni had dawned a tone of mock anger, but Ragatha still stopped mid step. She heard a loud censor go off followed by Zooble’s hook on her forearm. It dug into her tender plush arms, leaving the phantom feeling of pain. Zooble only did it to balance, not for anything else. They weren’t like… her.
