Summary
Tony can't get himself back from Siberia, and it takes the night for him to be rescued. While waiting to see if he'll die of hypothermia, he realises something for the first time. It wasn't that he failed because he hadn't tried hard enough. He had failed because he had tried too hard. His so-called team-mates had formed the habit of blaming Tony for everything because he had let them. He had shouldered the blame, let them attack him without consequence, and cleaned up after their mess, all so they could continue to feel self-righteous in peace. But it wasn't just him they were attacking, and saving the world didn't give them a free pass to be the very bullies that Steve claimed to fight against.
Tony woke up in hospital, still sustained by the relief of his realisation. Things sucked, but they would get better. He was Tony Stark, and no challenge was too much for him. It was odd how much easier it was to plot when he actually did intend ways to manipulate the ex-Avengers into falling in line. And since that was what they seemed convinced he was doing all along, they didn't deserve a warning that it would now be true.

All Tony can do is stare at the pale, unmoving form of Peter as hands force his heart to beat and air is pushed into his lungs. This time it’s different. There's no beeping to prove he's still alive as he lies there, no steady rise and fall of his chest. Nothing. Tony doesn't realize he's on his knees until hands are gripping his shoulders.
“No. No no no no, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. Please, don't go, I'm so sorry, I still need you, kid, I didn't-” He's cut off by his own sobs, vaguely aware of the steady arms that keep him up as he curls in on himself. I didn't mean it, he desperately repeats in his head, begging in a way he had never begged before.
Or: Peter gets amnesia after a grueling fight, forgetting who he is to Tony.

Summary
Tony Stark, despite his grumbling and complaining, totally loves kids. He always had, but from experience he had only been able to appreciate them from a distance. So, he wasnt very educated in the art of childcare, or interacting with them.
That was before Peter, and before all the other insane children fell into his life and for some reason felt the need to address him as 'Uncle Tony'
It takes a little getting used to, but he graciously falls into the roll and he can't help but spoil his dear nieces and nephews. And he isn't against gaining a few new addons along the way. He's been called many things throughout his life, but 'Uncle Tony' is by far his favorite, besides the occasional 'Dad' from Peter of course, but that's besides the point.

Tony is rescued by Adora and her gang, and is invited to join the Best Friends Squad, where he gets true friends, and a special friendship with Catra. But friendship has to wait when he tells them of Thanos. Now the gang meets up with other space teams like the Guardians and the Revengers, and they assemble a force to take down Thanos and save the universe.
Meanwhile on Earth, the world is going to chaos with Tony gone, and Steve Rogers slowly realizes that his perfect way of life, is coming to an unstoppable end.
