Summary
Exactly what it says on the tin. I'll gladly admit that I'm a person with a creative enough imagination to dream up fantastical ideas in my favorite works of media. However, I can also admit that I don't have a single creative bone in my body when it comes to anything long form writing. Which is why I am casting my ideas out there to see which of you bite.

“Percy,” her voice had a slight shake to it, something he hadn’t been able to detect before, “you always say, survival over all. Does that include you too?”
His head shot up. “What? Mom, of course it does!”
She inspected his face for any lie before taking a slow breath and letting it go. “Then take this… this curse, and protect yourself and others. Take this curse, and come home. If you can promise me this, then I give you my blessing.”
He straightened and took a risk. “I swear on the River Styx that if I take the Curse of Achilles, I will do everything I can to make it home to you after this war.”
The sky rumbled and Nico looked like he wasn't sure if he should be happy or yelling. He settled on mildly constipated.
“Better to go sooner rather than later,” he pointed out, “because who knows when the fighting will actually start. We have what, four days?”

The war is about to kick off, with Percy's birthday so close. He has to come to terms with the fact that there's so few of them to defend an entire cite from an army of now just respawning monsters but also enemy demigods, some of which he knows.
This is going to suck.
