Summary
Emily Charlton has been thinking about their lunch for the last week, trying to craft the perfect message to send Andrea, when her stream of thoughts is interrupted by a phone call. It's Andy.
She picks up, taking a breath in, the snippy comment about how late it is already rising in her throat.
It immediately dies there when she hears a dishevelled sob escape Andy from the other side of the line.

Summary
"Yes, well. It happens. It's good, you know," Nigel stared at Emily now, really looking at her eyes. "You, Andy, single at the same time."
Emily had to make the most heroic effort not to spit all of the drink she hadn't had the time to swallow straight onto Nigel's suit. Instead, she cointaned it and managed to let out a small groan and cover her mouth with her hand, choking. Andrea was single. That made her happy. She didn't really know why. Nigel had mentioned Andy, that was good, she meant to ask anyway. Wait- Nigel had mentioned Emily and Andy being single at the same time. Why the fuck would Nigel say that?
"Why-" Emily looked at him, forehead frowning, eyes narrowed. "Why do you say that?" Emily laughed quite a ridiculous, embarrassed laugh.
"Oh, honey." Nigel held Emily's hand and seemed very honest with his words. "You don't have to hide it, everyone knows you two have a fling going on."
Apparently, it was common sense that Andrea Sachs and Emily Charlton were in a romantic situationship for twenty ongoing years. Well, it was obvious for everyone, except Emily Charlton herself.
