Summary
Names have power. To fae, names are your whole being, your life. Should a fae learn your name, they own you, they control you. The poor soul would be dragged away to the fae realm, to some horrible fate that no one will ever know all for speaking one trivial word.
They were taught the rules so should they encounter a faerie, they would have some small chance to escape with their lives and debt-free.
Of course, the best way to deal with a fae encounter is to not have one. Never go into the forest, never meet a fae, never risk your life.
Unfortunately, Wilbur didn’t have that luxury.

What was colour, really?
Ask any sciencey smart person and they’d tell you that it was just light waves refracting off of objects into your eyes. Different waves for different things. That’s why grass was green and the sky was blue.
But there had to be more to colour than just light.
When people talked about colour, they made it something more. The angry, violent reds. Blues that could be sorrowful or tranquil or so dark they could swallow you whole. Greens that could be toxic and poisonous or natural and beautiful. Colours were always vibrant, full of life and spirit and beauty.
But with Wilbur gone, the world just seemed grey.

Dad goes back to work and we go back to school
It was something Davey-- David had said to his little brother Les when they had first started working with the Manhattan newsboys. Something to remind both of them of their responsibilities.
That was last year. Now a new school year was about to begin.
David gripped Les' shoulder on their way to the school building.
"We don't have to go!" Les cried for what must have been the 12th time in the past half hour alone, tugging at the collar of his uniform. "Jack would let us hide!"
David sighed. "We can't hide at the lodge, Les," he explained, looking around and thanking the Father that no newsie was on their street. He didn't think he could handle seeing the disappointment in any of their eyes. "We just can't."
No matter how hard David tried, Les wasn't having it. "But why!?"
David was trying to answer that for himself too.

First of all, it should be some sort of regulation or law that you have to bang your fists or stomp your feet or generally just beat the hell of whatever you target when “Sweet Caroline” gets to the chorus. Second of all, that law should apply everywhere in the damn universe. I don’t care if whatever is listening doesn’t have limbs to beat on something with. They can improvise.
