“Daaaaad!”
Still half asleep, Whizzer reached out, dropping his whole arm onto his sleeping partner’s chest, hoping it would wake him up. Luckily Marvin became conscious after jumping slightly at the contact.
“Your son wants you.” Whizzer mumbled, face already back in his pillow.
“He’s your son too,” Marvin replied as he found the strength to sit up.
“Not when he’s clearly asking for you at 2am.” Sue him, he liked his sleep.
“Dad. Dad. Dad.” Sounded again, getting more annoyed at the lack of attention.
Just as Marvin left the room, Jason decided to test something else to get his dad there faster.
“Fuck!”

The more he was around him, the more Marvin realised that Jason was a lot like him.
The avoidance of most people, the absence of friends his age, finding more joy with hobbies than anything else, being rowdy sometimes and emotionless others, and probably the worst one of all: the irritation in the senses.
Marvin was no stranger to being overstimulated. In fact, it happened so much that he’d learned to get used to it. Jason, on the other hand, was a lot more sheltered and less experienced. When it hit him, it hit him hard
OR: Jason has a minor overstimulation episode, which Marvin and Whizzer help him through. This leads to Marvin and Whizzer having a talk about their own parents.
