Edward's hand curls where the other man's hand had seared his skin. Edwards fingers wrap perfectly over the stain, squeezing hard so that his bruises can kindly replace Izzy's betrayal. "Let's get you somewhere private... To calm down."

Izzy didn’t believe in tales of sea monsters, but Stede Bonnet made him doubt, so sure was he that the man was a Siren whose voice was specially honed to drain out the life, the light, and everything special about Blackbeard, to take the greatest pirate who ever sailed the seas and reduce him to little more than his needy whore, or worse: his woman.
