Summary
The princess is interrupted by a low rumble and the ground beneath their feet shaking. Before she can even turn back around, Lucifer has appeared, pinning Alastor back against the couch with a long angelic blade pressed to his throat. The Devil is in full regalia with intense, burning eyes and massive wings flared wide. The only sound in the room is the crackle of fire atop Lucifer's crown and the startled gasp of Charlie clasping her hands over her mouth.
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO THIS TIME?! Go on! Give me a reason to end you RIGHT NOW, ASSHOLE!" Lucifer roars out with a thousand voices of the damned, growling so close to Alastor's face, the deer can feel the heat rolling off of the smaller man.

Luke’s shoulders are tensed as he spits out now into the deadly silent classroom, “It was Zeus.”
Curious as to see how far the kid is willing to go against the King of gods Dionysus prompts him further, “Oh yeah?”
Luke laughs half-heartedly, “Of course he’s the cause. When has he ever favored demigods?”
Malice and loathing tinge his voice as he refuses to break eye contact with the god before him, “It was planned. He planned it alongside Themis. A grand war to decrease the population of demigods.”
His sneer is mean with an edge of challenge, “He’s afraid of us. He always has been.”
Luke leans back in his seat. A grin promising chaos stretches along his lips as he diverts his attention from the god to the room full of campers, “It’s why he rid the world of our god.”
Dionysus freezes, arm stopping in the arc it had been about to toss his empty soda can at the kid’s head to get him to shut up.
The words land heavy in the room. Booming with potential and the stirring of questions, “The goddess of demigods.”

Rocky was everywhere in those months. Translating, explaining, checking on Grace between meetings, settling beside him on the beach in the evenings with the comfortable familiarity of someone who had been doing exactly this for years. Which he had. Which was normal. Which was what Grace had.
Then the meetings got longer. Then Rocky started coming to the beach less. Then there were days Grace didn’t see him at all, just received a brief communication through the translator system — Rocky is in conference, will check on Grace later — and later became the next morning, and the morning after that.
Grace told himself this was fine.
