2025 Spring Prompts
I'm using some of this season's prompts to tell the story of my builder, Raya, in short snippets.Raya was sick of Highwind. Growing up different left her feeling jaded, with a quick temper and a chip on her shoulder. So she had run headlong into Sandrock, looking for a place she could belong, where she could finally be herself. And everything had been going so well, for about five minutes. But she was no quitter. Now, the only thing standing between her and happiness was the biggest, stupidest yakboy the Light ever brought into being. How can she call Sandrock home when he is determined to make her life miserable?

The gravelly voice washed over her in a soothing tide and she turned around, finding herself against a broad chest. On instinct, her fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer to nuzzle his neck. He froze, and the rational part of her couldn't blame him.
That part, however, quickly got wrangled into submission.

The mirror had come with the house and now belonged to Yan. He could have asked where it came from if he'd cared to listen to a single word Email said after telling him she was flat broke, but he didn't bother because all that mattered to him in life were gols. Which meant he no longer cared or had a use for Email.
