Summary
After a serious injury while playing hockey when he was fourteen, Izuku Midoriya comes back to play hockey four years later. It was different than what he ever planned as a teenager, as he is playing for Shiketsu instead of UA. This means he is playing against his childhood friend turned bully, Katsuki Bakugou. They have to grapple with their past friendship and what used to be and come to terms with their new dynamic as rivals and everything that comes with that.

Ochako couldn't hear the rest. A photo of his siblings was the medic's lock screen, and his sister had a lovely smile, soft green eyes, and blond hair swept to the side in a messy side bun. Probably to keep it out of her way while working to save lives, just like her brother. The two of them had the same hair and eyes, she realized with a shudder.
But Ochako wouldn't be going to Meito Ward today. She was slated to go to Kuze Ward per the roster, because that was where they needed her quirk today.
She committed the name and face to memory though, just in case. It was the least she could do. The poor medic was trying so hard to help her to the point where it was unnecessary. Excessive, even.
Hana.
Or alternatively, in a world with too many victims and not enough heroes, everyone has a role to play. As Ochako struggles under the crushing weight of a country buried in rubble, mislaid guilt combines with unmentionable grief and heartbreak to erode away everything she thought she'd be.

Summary
And yet when their eyes meet Izuku may as well be a deer in the headlights, jade-green reflecting what colours cling to sky above with ease: a cluster of orange, explosions that crack across a storm-riddled sky and regress villainy to infancy; a spectral of colours, threads that send Izuku into a shadowed realm to connect him to lives that changed him, for better and worse. In the seconds that follow that mouth of his is quick to close, and in the blink of an eye Izuku looks… determined. Resolute.
