    Liu Qingge swallows dryly. He knew it too, when he'd been playing with the idea of it a week ago on the assignment. What had all those things in common?
    "But… Vampires are not classified as a demon."
    "I never said it was a demon; I said it was a monster."

    "Visit you?" Shi Wudu can hear the soft slur of his words. Clearly He Xuan had taken a few cups before finding him. He tries to not let it eat at him. "I didn't realize you were waiting for me."

    Shi Wudu rolls his eyes, glancing back over his shoulder to catch a glance of He Xuan's ink-dark bangs swooping down alongside his eye. His ponytail sways as he moves in. Two strong, vambraced arms come to rest on either side of the bar - caging Shi Wudu in against the dark-polished wood. Shi Wudu's spine stiffens. "You didn't realize? Hm. Maybe all that rich food and expensive wine got to your head finally. You left me here alone, we're lucky I haven't killed anyone for being stupid enough to try talking to me."

    (aka: Shi Wudu mistakes Liu Qingge for He Xuan, and He Xuan mistakes Shi Wudu for Shen Jiu.)

    There’s a fractional pause. The SecUnit’s head tilts—not inquisitive, more like a sensor recalibrating after unexpected input.
    “Yes. Actually, you do. But that’s not the question.”
    The answer is flat, almost bored. For him, that chills his blood.

    Or: a person from Murderbot's past encounters it. It doesn't end well for anyone, really.
