When he and Tommy got married, everything was simply amazing.
Tommy had started his job as a firefighter. Wanting to eventually be a pilot in the area of firefighting.
He didn't want him to have a job, as it was dangerous, and Tommy wanted Buck home where he knew he was safe.
Buck was okay with it at first.Soon arguments started to happen when Tommy wouldn't let him go to even the grocery store alone.
Soon the abuse came. Small hits, here and there. Nothing major at first until one evening it had gotten so bad Buck ended up with a black eye and several bruises.Or

“Eddie, I’m in love with you,” he says, heart thrumming in his chest, in his throat, in his mouth. He feels hot and cold and dizzy by turns.
“What?” asks Eddie faintly, barely even a question.
“I’m in love with you,” Buck says again. “I didn’t know, I didn’t mean to, but I am. I am.”
“You– Right, okay,” says Eddie, so visibly buffering that it makes Buck’s heart clench a little in his chest. Of course he’s in love with Eddie. How could he possibly have let himself pretend otherwise. “Wasn’t expecting this, bud,” says Eddie, and he sounds so shocked that Buck can’t help a wry smile. Of course Eddie’s surprised. They must be the only two people in existence who didn’t already know. “I– Buck, man, you know that I care about you, but…”
“I know,” he says gently to Eddie, because he did know, but that doesn't make this moment hurt any less.

Post season 8, Buck confesses his feelings, Eddie lets him down as gently as he can, and they both try to figure out how to be just friends.

Summary
“We are friends Buck.” Eddie cried desperately. “You’re my best friend!”
“Christ Eddie, you gave me your son!” He yelled now, the anger rising fast from somewhere he didn’t recognise. “You wrote it, signed it and sealed it with your life, binding us all together. What did you expect me to do with that!? Or was it just a…a break glass in case of an emergency thing? Buck will always be there to pick up the pieces, but only when we need him and when he can be useful.”
Eddie scowled, his jaw twitching.
“That is not fair.” His eyes were dark, eyebrows furrowed in equal anger to Bucks. “You can’t use that against me.”or
Eddie leaves for Texas, and Buck follows, only to quickly return a broken man.
As they deal with the fallout, Eddie learns to fight for himself and Buck learns to live again in a world where he doesn't get to love Eddie Diaz.

Summary
Eddie leaves and Buck can't handle it.
Spiralling and forgotten, Buck falls back to old ways in order to cope with the loss of his best-friend/love of his life. Everyone has their home but Buck has lost the only one he had, the one he didn't realise belonged to him.
How can he move on when every factor of his life up until now had Eddie and Chris at the front and centre?

Summary
The 118 get a call to some nearby woodlands where the police are waiting for their assistance. Athena tells them that they need to help with a little boy that had gotten his leg stuck in a beartrap. All seems simple but then she tells them that the boy is a feral child, animalistic and frightened, and was throwing rocks at people who tried to get closer. Buck and Eddie are tasked to get him to safety.
The boy is scared of everything around him, people, sounds, objects, the wind, the smells. Terror is all the boy knew until he found something he wasn’t scared of.
And its name was Evan Buckley. :3Warnings - Heavy descriptions of medical trauma, child abuse, neglect and injury.
Queue found family, Christopher being an amazing big brother and the 118 being the best family in the entire world. :3
