Summary
Standing in the hallway of the strange gray house, in a silence that felt heavy and exhausted, Luke could see two figures at either end of the table, eating dinner.
A memory made manifest.

Summary
He fully expects Elliot to have his head down in a book, because that's what Elliot always does at Trigon games, act like he doesn't know or care what's happening and this is all just an annoying interruption of his reading time. But he isn't doing that this time.
The last Trigon game of the year.

Summary
He offers it indulgently, like a concession to one of Victor’s childish moods. Victor can tell he doesn’t mean it. How did he miss this? He wonders, not for the first time–he’d gotten so many things wrong in those early days–how little he really understands Katsuki Yuuri. Maybe they’re more alike than he ever knew, the champion and the shooting star. Bearing the weight with a faltering smile, throwing themselves into program after program, new, better, different, more; trying desperately to rewrite a story that seemed fixed and unfeeling. Giving it up, finally, when nothing worked.
No.
No, that can’t be right.
AU, diverges from canon post-ep 11. Victor tries and fails to corner Yuuri after the Grand Prix Finals.

Summary
He's no stranger to the press. They'd get reporters and the occasional local news crew around the rink every so often, mostly looking for Victor, but there are grainy interviews with him on Youtube going back to age ten. When he took gold at the Junior Grand Prix at age thirteen--when he did it again the year after, his last year on the junior circuit, everyone wanted to know his name. There were features, magazine covers with Russia's Next Ace? stamped across his forehead.
This is different.
Yuri Plisetsky, in the wake of the Grand Prix Finals.

Summary
Kurt pulls his knees up to his chest and stares at Blaine Anderson (the photo is blank; he'd deleted it after the breakup) illuminated on the phone screen.
Blaine's voice shifts and sharpens. "Kurt? Hey, Kurt, are you there?"
He hunches forward. "You cheated on me," he says.
Silence.

Summary
He just--he remembers that day at Dalton, the light streaming through the windows of the senior commons, the soaring hope and the joy--being looked at, being seen, for what felt like the first time. Part of that is his and his alone, untouched and untouchable by anything that came after. It has to be. He's allowed to have that, isn't he? One single, sunlit moment, suspended in time, incapable of being broken?
In which Blaine comes to visit, and Kurt Hummel is kind of a mess.

"You're going out to dinner," Finn says, all disbelief, but Blaine doesn't pay him any attention, keeps looking at Kurt looking back at him, and presses on: "I also thought it would be nice to catch up with my best buddy. You know, since we haven't really gotten much of a chance to talk this week."
"No, we definitely haven't done a lot of talking," Kurt murmurs, low and insinuating.
"You're going on a dinner date! Am I the only one who sees this? Am I going crazy?"
(Post-4x14, "I Do." Blaine takes Kurt out on a Very Platonic Outing.)

Summary
When he can bring himself to glance back up, he finds Kurt still looking at him, staring at him, expression cautious but contemplative, the lines around his mouth all gone soft. Not like he's angry, and not like he's in pain--just looking at Blaine, like Blaine is a question and the answer actually matters.
"Kurt," he whispers, not quite under his own power, and just like that, the moment's over: the shade comes down over Kurt's face, everything closing off.
(Coda to 4x10, "Glee, Actually.")

Summary
It's not enough; none of it is enough. Jay only admits it to himself in the darkest hours of the night, but the course they are on is unsustainable. One day—and he doesn't know how far off that day is but it will come—one day they're going to fight again, and the tottering half-overtures they make towards one another won't hold them together anymore. There's a chasm there that neither of them has been able to bridge.
