And although the proud rectoress would never allow her affections to be bought, even with the most beautiful or decadent gifts, fortunately or unfortunately that wasn’t a concern for her with Yennefer. She’d fallen for the chaotic, violet-eyed mage a long time ago, and although she enjoyed receiving the gifts, an absence of them wouldn’t have changed her feelings at all.

"…And you can use me in any other way you like. I will give you every scrap of who I am and you can do whatever you please with it. Receive it, reject it, laugh at it, spend it. I will give you everything."
She took a deep breath.
"But you only get my body if you want all of me, Yennefer."
Her hand made as if to reach out and touch Yennefer’s face again - then thought better of it.
"This isn’t meant to be punitive. I’m not mad that you don’t want me. I never thought you would in the first place. I’d hoped maybe…" her voice trailed off in a bruised exhale. "But I would never demand you give me something you didn’t feel safe to give. Never."
