Summary
Why? he sobs and Why? The Force repeats, and it is a croon and it is a cruelty, and it is delivered in white plastoid painted orange glory and yellow faith and bravery blue and loyalty gray. It is blaster shots and no, General and get the traitor and yes, my lord – it is a lightsaber pressed into Obi-Wan’s hand like a gift, a promise, the only oath the sunrise is allowed to make, before a comm and an order and a chill and a blast him, falling endlessly.
Obi-Wan receives a Force vision a few minutes before Sidious sets the galaxy on fire. He can't save everyone. He might not even save himself. But he'll be damned if he doesn't save Cody.

Summary
Cody pauses, and then admits, “I…worry, sometimes. I have nightmares, most of the clones do, about doing something on orders. Something horrible. And I would never…but Rex said he could barely fight it. It was all he could do to twist it, to make it something General Skywalker would know wasn’t right. And he said…he said it was like he wanted to do it. He knew he didn’t, but part of him…I need to know, Obi-Wan. If that feeling…if I do something, I don’t want to wonder why. I want to know.”
The terrible intimacy of Force Suggesting your clone commander, because he's asked, and it would make him feel safe, and you love him more than you hate yourself.

“How do you stand it?” he asks eventually.
Obi-Wan blinks at him, “Stand what?”
Cody gestures towards the sky. “It’s wrong. How do you–” He trails off, not sure how he means to finish.
“I suppose I’m simply used to it,” Obi-Wan says.

“It’s not Mando’a,” Obi-Wan grumbles. “It’s my name.”
“It’s not Mando’a,” Cody agrees easily. “It’s not your name, either,” he adds.
A demonstration of a neological continuum. Or, four times a clone trooper learned a new word in the developing language of Vodo'a, and one time Obi-Wan did.

“For you!” Julian cried, shoving a fistful of weeds in Renfri’s direction, his smile wide and carefree.
Renfri carefully took them in her hands that were only shaking a little bit now, smearing red onto green stems and yellow petals.Julian clambered into the bed beside her and crawled halfway onto her lap. “I got you flowers, ‘cause you’re so pretty like them!”
“These aren’t flowers, they’re weeds.” Renfri told him, rolling her eyes but allowing the contact with ease. Somedays it seemed like Julian was the only person in the entire castle who wasn’t afraid of her.
“They look like flowers.” He said, crinkling his nose.
“They’re dandelions,” Renfri informed her brother with a tiny smile, “They grow everywhere, even places they perhaps shouldn’t. That’s why they’re a weed.”
“Perhaps they’re a little like you,” She teased, “Growing in even the scariest of places with no fear.” Like a monster’s heart, she doesn’t say.
“Like a superpower!” Julian gasped.
Renfri separated one dandelion from the little clutch and reached out to tuck it behind a little ear. “For the stubborn hero, Jaskier.”

Summary
“I can assure you that this isn’t what it looks like, my good man,” he calls, pointedly ignoring the cheap casket at his feet which proves that this very much is exactly what it looks like. Perhaps he can argue that he’s a gravedigger - it seems like the sort of thing that really ought to be done at night, if you ask him. Which, of course, the man behind him does not.
“Looks like you’re digging up a grave.”
There aren’t many arguments Jaskier can make to refute that, as digging up a grave is precisely what he’s doing; but that certainly doesn’t mean he isn’t going to give it a damn good go.
“Well you see, you’re already working from a faulty supposition; if you look closer you’ll see that I’m merely… Merely…”
The words trail off and stick in his throat as he turns. Even if the white hair and slit-pupiled eyes left him in any doubt of the man’s identity, the medallion he can just about make out on his chest would be enough to confirm it.
He isn’t a man at all - he’s a witcher, which means there’s a good chance that Jaskier is very, very dead. More dead, perhaps, than the poor sod in the casket at his feet. At least she’s all in one piece.
Probably.

“Rumour has it, the White Wolf himself arrived this morning,” Essi says. “By portal, or there would have been a whole procession. Anyway, there were two witchers at the Academy, and they were asking about you.”
“Me?”
Essi holds out a sheet of paper without a word.
It’s a bulletin board notice. Wanted Alive, it says. The Sandpiper. By order of the White Wolf, Warlord of the North. Below is an engraving of a wolf head, snarling and almost audibly growling.

Summary
Raised in the pressure cooker of Kamino the clone troopers created to fight and to die built their own culture with loyalty as the central bedrock. When the first troopers leave Kamino the culture shock is immense. An education built upon durasteel facts leaves them ill-prepared for a galaxy that values the ephemeral and commanders who can do impossible things. And then Order 66 happens, and horrifically, unbelievably their leaders are traitors. And then, even worse, unbearably, almost a decade later, they are free and know, to the core of their souls, that they, rather than the Jedi, were traitors all.
Or, alternatively:
If you value loyalty above all, how do you cope with being forced to become traitors to yourselves and your leaders?
If you were conditioned to have a cause, what happens when you destroy that cause?
If you knew to your soul that only one other group cared about you, how do you react to a galaxy that betrayed them?
If your brothers can countenance nothing else but that they are still with you, then why not support that faith?
If the Force is the truth, then why not make it so that everyone follows it?

Of all the dangers that could befall a post-captain in the Coruscant Navy in the first months of a new commission, happening across a Geonosian man of war was bad; a run-in with pirates was worse; and any encounter with the pirate known as Kenobi was the most lethal by far.

Summary
Seven years after the war, unease still plagues the galaxy, which means the Jedi are as busy as ever. For Jedi Master and Council Member Obi-Wan Kenobi, having been Temple ridden for more than a year after a mission gone wrong, getting back into the action comes with not only danger to his body but his heart as well.
Five years after the Clone Rights Act, formally known as the Recognition of Sentient Beings Rights and Obligations under the Galatic Republic, passes, former Marshal Commander Cody of the GAR has been traveling the galaxy in orange-spackled beskar’gam taking the odd job here and there, some for money some for the thrill but some still because he just can’t stop himself from helping people.
Three years after last seeing each other in a fraught confrontation that left both men hurting, Jedi Master and former Commander are brought together to once more bring peace to and do good for a young planet that is trying to join the Republic, despite the machinations of the ruling council.
These estranged lovers must put aside the pain of their last encounter to save a people in desperate need of assistance. Oh, and maybe makeup along the way.

Summary
Fox dies.
Except he doesn’t, because as soon as the creepy Sith ritual drains the last of the blood from his body, he wakes up…somewhere. Somewhere else, where, for once, he can’t feel the Emperor’s claws digging into his head every hour of the cycle.
Unfortunately, this somewhere else is so deep in the middle of nowhere that he gets picked up by a mandalorian—some asshole called Montross who quickly proves that he’d be more helpful dead, especially once Fox finds out that this shabuir wants to sell him off to the Kyr’tsad. In a final bid for freedom, Fox disposes of his would-be captor, commandeers his ship, and goes on the run from the man’s terrorist Kyr’tsad friends and his weird Haat Mando’ad coworkers.
…until the weird coworkers finally catch up to Fox.
Or: upon his death, Fox is thrown several decades into the past, lands in Mandalore’s backyard, gets himself adopted, and (mostly intentionally) alters the course of the galaxy.
Oh, and he isn’t the only vod to get tossed through time and space.

Summary
Geralt has had a miserable time in Redania, contracts far en few between, and decides to go fill a contract put forth by the Viscount de Lettenhove.
When the Viscount tells Geralt to name his price, he names a night with him. A night with the Viscount, just to see the other man waver and refuse. To Geralt's surprise, the noble agrees.--000--
“Butcher,” the Viscount breathes out, and Geralt tries his best not to flinch.
Instead, he looks at the man coolly. The word from the Viscount’s mouth makes him inexplicably angry. He shouldn’t be surprised at the moniker, hasn’t been in a long while, but right now it stings in a new and unexpected way. He’s angry that the man that loves his people so much, has tried to save their children and kill the monster, now isn’t even seeing him as the last resort he was when he was a nameless witcher. The viscount blinks dark lashes over his blue eyes and opens his mouth to speak, but Geralt cuts him off.
“I said I’d take the contract. You said to name my price. Are those still the terms?”

Summary
It started with a chance meeting in Tridam. A small outpost town squatting on the banks of the River Braa in northern Redania. As he rode across the town’s perimeter, Scorpion’s hooves drumming on the loose slats of the bridge, he felt the weight of disapproving eyes drift towards him. Since Blaviken, it had become more important than ever to take the measure of a population’s stares as you entered their town. Were they formed by the usual disdain informed by prejudice? Or did they hold a sharper edge?
