Summary
Many Arcane fic writers are not League of Legends players, the video game that the show is based on, so I put together this primer to help writers create canon-compliant works. It includes: character ages, the show's timeline, characters' in-game bios (with commentary about their connection to Arcane), an overview of the Piltover/Zaun conflict, brief descriptions of the surrounding regions, and detailed descriptions of Piltover/Zaun's layout and geography.
To do: world timeline, local religion(s), species, magic
Now with visual aids to help spark inspiration! There's maps of both Piltover/Zaun, their denizens and the technology they created, and some glimpses into the world around them. (Best viewed on desktop, as they're quite large.)
(I apologize for clogging the tags; I'm trying to get this to as many writers and potential writers as possible.)

"Yeah?" Vi leaned back in her chair, a smirk stretching across her face - one she knew was absolutely insufferable. "I’m a big fan of doing the unacceptable every now and then. Keeps life spicy, y'know?"
The piercing blue eyes staring at her narrowed, and Vi felt her grin widen. Oh, this is gonna be fun. Uptight. Spoiled. And, to Vi’s absolute dismay, absurdly hot. The challenge was written all over Caitlyn Kiramman’s face.
"Is that how you ended up in prison?"
Vi blinked. She hadn't expected that.
But she recovered quickly, casually plucking a cupcake from the plate in front of her. "Nah, that was just my sunny personality that got me there," she said and took a slow bite.

Remember that one guy whose mugshot went viral, and he ended up becoming a model after getting out of prison? Now imagine that, but it’s Vi. And Caitlyn is the bestselling author of a wildly popular fantasy novel that’s getting a TV adaptation. Turns out, Vi looks exactly like the protagonist she created.
Cue two useless lesbians, Vi being a menace, Caitlyn being very into that, and plenty of shenanigans.

“Spent all day buttering you up,” Caitlyn cards her hand through Vi’s limp hair, “And you turn the tables on me again.”
Vi chuckles. Of course.
She noses at Caitlyn’s collarbone, follows the long lines of her neck up to her jawline to ask, “What’s the occasion?”
“Do I need an occasion?” Caitlyn squirms under her attention, but she’s suddenly pulling Vi back by the hair to make serious eye contact. “I think you deserve the things you want, all the time.”
“You think I didn’t want this?”Vi, and all the pleasures Caitlyn gives her.

“Ah! Shit...That fucking stings!” Vi hissed out in pain as she attempted to reach her arms above her head to wash her hair for the third time, before quickly returning them to her abdomen clutching it tightly to numb the pain a small amount.
Jolting up, she tentatively knocked on the door “Vi? Are you alright in there? Can I come in?”

Caitlyn's head snapped up as the front door opened at the top of all those steps, and a worried Vi took them three at a time in order to catch her at the bottom, panic clear on her rugged features. "Oh my gods, Cait, come inside, where have you been? I heard you hadn't made it back to the station and then- Fuck, is that blood?" she gasped, wrapping an arm around Caitlyn's shoulders, which she could hardly protest considering Vi's strength, and helping her up the stairs.
"I need to get to my father," she said, voice firmer than the thoughts behind it. "I got bitten by something."

When Caitlyn is bitten by something deep at the bottom of Zaun, Vi assumes the worst, but when the bite mark mysteriously disappears and she makes a miraculous recovery, Vi starts to worry for a different reason.
This was written for week four of the #StillFantastic pride month challenge. The prompt was 'Angst', which quickly became horror and here we are. Enjoy!
