He burst the kitchen door open, seeing Bruce with a newspaper on one hand and a cup of coffee midway to his mouth on the other.
"Bruce! Where is he?" Dick exclaimed.
"Dick? What-" Bruce spluttered, putting his mug on the table.
"Yeah, yeah, nice to see you, Bruce. I know, I have to visit more often, yes, I missed you, yadda yadda. Now, where is he?" Dick said quickly.
"Where is who?" Bruce asked, squinting his eyes at Dick.
"The kid, of course! Who else?"
"The ki- you mean Jason?" Bruce asked, his face growing more bewildered by the second.
"That's right, Jason!" Dick exclaimed, as if it was completely obvious.

Damian wasn't the type to be pushed aside, not even when his father asked him to. But maybe there wasn't much choice, especially if the CPS had already been involved by Oliver…
“Batman…”
Diana was the one who approached Batman first, her lasso glowing in her hand. “We are sorry.”
A long pause. Then a dry, guttural sound escaped the Bat. A cruel chuckle, so full of rage it was waiting to spill out like a raging river.
"Is that all? After all the shit you threw at him, you're coming after him with your tail between your legs?," the Bat said, angry and Clark's eyes widened.
