Summary
Two days after Obi-Wan Kenobi returns home from his year-long mission to Mandalore, he and his dear friend Quinlan Vos go out for a night of drinking and shenanigans. And Quinlan is certain, absolutely certain, that after all Obes has gone through, he has to have at least some of his Knight Trials in the bag. He harps on this. It is annoying.
Obi-Wan thinks he’s full of shit, naturally.
The next day, sober and full of chaos, in most Universes Senior Padawan Vos shakes it off and just complains to his master. In this Universe, Senior Padawan Vos has a quiet word with the Master of Shadows. This is the single, changed snowflake whose destiny is to become an avalanche.
This is how Quinlan Vos saves the Galaxy.

The thought never crossed Steve’s mind that maybe the entire world was standing in your way, because you were the one trying to do it wrong. Steve hadn’t had the time to listen. First stopping the accords form happening, saving Bucky and then getting his friends out of the claws of a government which thought itself almighty. It was only a few days after the events of Siberia that Steve couldn’t ignore the rest of the world anymore. The people his team had been fighting for had something to say and they demanded their voice being heard. They were telling him to move.

The brighter and hotter a star, the more spectacular its death. But, sometimes, it's whats left behind that means the most. A star has gone out, and left behind far more love and pain and grief than expected, and far more pieces to pick up than any one person can manage. What is more potentially dangerous, though, are the consequences of this death on those closest to the star. Some will be burned, others rendered desolate. Some will come out stronger, others will come out filled with rage.

Ross won't be persuaded that Tony had nothing to do with the former Avengers break-out of the Raft, so he throws Tony into the Raft in their place. Even from inside a prison cell, Tony's still doing his best to fight for the Accords, both believing in them and knowing something far worse could come down the pipe. When the rest of his former team tries to draw him in to deal with the threat Ross presents, Tony just wants them to leave him alone, but he knows he owes the world better than that. After all, this is all about what superheroes owe the world.
Or: A post Civil-War reunion fic with a long series of escalating conversations where a bunch of jagged pieces do their level best to fit back together, and maybe change the world in the process.
