He was slightly offended that Marcus thought his t-shirts were stupid. “Also, they’ve now been officially restricted to lab-only clothing. Look out, Midtown High, here comes the new and improved Peter Parker!”
The jazz hands did not sell it.

You’re a vibrant young woman, Mari, but you have to understand. If you hitch your wagon to my star, you’re laying yourself down in a coffin.”
With a short, jagged sigh, he looked away.
Of note:
This is a TWO PART SERIES, each about 80-90K words, which is why you will see designations of Book I and Book II. I considered splitting it up into two works, but decided against it.
