Summary
A year after the war, Harry and Draco return for their eighth year. Draco is trying to keep his head down and rebuild what little remains of his life, navigating a world that hates him. Harry is trying to move on in a world without the fear of death around every corner. Summary
Late January 2015. Harry's sleep is interrupted by feelings of immense heat and pain, as if his body is trying to reforge itself from the inside. When he awakes the following morning he is very surprised to learn that he has just come into his creature inheritance 16.5 years late. The problem with such a late development: he already has a wife and kids! Well, ex wife as the case may be now.
Join Harry as he has to navigate a new part of the wizarding world and learn to blend his old life with his new, learning some things about himself along the way as old enemies become new friends and old friendships are tested.
Word of warning: this is not your usual creature inheritance fic! Do not expect instant connections although I promise there will be a happy ending.

Summary
The war is over, the bodies are buried, the wizarding world has licked it's wounds, and everyone has started rebuilding their lives. Some students have elected to return to Hogwarts to finish their schooling, while others cannot bear the thought.
NEWT's and corridors full of memories aren't the hardest things that Harry and Draco have to navigate through this year though.
Drarry. Mostly canon-compliant. 8th year. Slash/MM. Discussions and memories of SA/incest/family violence. Periods of intense anxiety and angst, followed by periods of tooth-rotting fluff.
OR
They return to Hogwarts for 8th year with zero plans beyond being physically present in the same place. Teenaged angst and yearning ensues. Somewhere along the way they both finally grow up a bit.

Summary
Now Complete!
An ultra slow burn Drarry retelling beginning the summer before fifth-year and continuing through the final battle at Hogwarts.
Harry begins to distrust Dumbledore after the events of his fourth year, turning to an unlikely source for knowledge and information. The Occupation of Malfoy Manor by Voldemort leads Draco down a path that diverges significantly from the rest of his family. An event early on sets in motion a large rift in the Golden Trio, ultimately resulting in irreparable damage. Harry learns what real friendship is and who he can trust while making several self-discoveries along his journey to rid the Wizarding World of Voldemort for good.
There are several plot points from the original source material that remain unchanged and are therefore only referenced and implied. While I don't care for the author's personal views, I enjoy her writing and will not be re-writing anything that happens as they appeared in the books. This fic is long enough as it is! There will be author notes for any chapter that includes or alludes to these scenes.
Please make note of the canonical character death tag and remember what happens in Order of the Phoenix.

Summary
