Jules sighs, as if Eddie has just told him he’s never tried a Jibarito (which he hasn’t, and Jules was greatly put out by that revelation). “There’s this firefighter back in LA who keeps popping up in the news. Usually for doing reckless shit,” which is saying something, coming from anyone in this tent since pretty much anyone out here is known for being reckless. “He’s crazy.”
“Oh yeah, that’s my husband.”

“Are we going to talk about it, then?” Hen says, her voice amused.
Eddie turns the page of his book. “Talk about what?” he asks, his words a deliberate sort of quiet, as if he’s worried about waking Buck up. And God, if that doesn’t make the ache around Buck’s heart pulse.
“The 6’5 giant using your lap as a pillow?”

“You haven’t noticed the mole that has randomly materialized under your eye?”
“Buck, I’ve had that since birth.”
“No. You never had that. I would’ve known if you had that mole. I’ve been staring at you for six years straight!” It flies out of his mouth before he realizes what it sounds like. Buck feels his cheeks heat up at the amused glances thrown his way.
“I mean, not, uh, staring. Looking at you. A normal, platonic amount.”
Which is a total lie, but whatever.
____OR Buck grows an obsession with the mole beneath Eddie’s eye.

Summary
“I’ll be right back,” Eddie says, as his eyes snap to something over Buck’s shoulder. “Stay here with Chris.”
Eddie presses a firm kiss to Buck's lips before ducking off into the crowd, and Buck watches him go with a dazed look on his face.
“You guys are kissing now?” Chris asks curiously. “I didn’t think he’d told you yet.”
That drags Buck back to reality.
“Huh?” he says. “Told me what?”
Chris raises an eyebrow. “Dad’s told you how he feels, right?”
“It’s just been the kissing actually,” Buck admits, still a little out of it. “I don’t think he’s fully aware he’s doing it?”

(Buck's not sure what's going on when Eddie starts accidentally kissing him. Eddie's not as oblivious as Buck thinks he is.)
