Summary

They let this blossoming feeling grow
(not that they had any control of it in the first place), navigating it through different ways. In the end they accept it, letting it fully blossom and grow. However, life isn't as easy as they thought it was. There are hundreds—thousands that are counting on them as rulers. Not to mention . . . what about Laura and Flerida? He thinks back to why he's here, all alone in his bedroom playing Minecraft waiting slowly until his cancer finally takes him. As the king continues to merge with him, he remembers who he's doing this for and suddenly he doesn't feel all too bad.

Just thinking about him calms down the waves of knowledge forced upon him. So he doesn't stop thinking of him.

I lived with this hunger long before the Hail Mary. This is nothing new. I’m fine.
Right up until Rocky asks another question.
“When last time you touch other human person skin, question?”
Oh. Oh no. “When I… a few days after I first woke up here.”
Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.

After Roger achieved his goal, he returned to the love of his life to live out his life with only calm days ahead. His son was born and doted on the boy, soon enough gaining two more sons in the coming years. He approved of their dreams and would not get in the way of them.
But he drew the line at executions.
The Marines better be prepared, because the Pirate King is coming, and he won't rest until his son was safe.
