Eddie wasn’t sure how he had found himself agreeing to tag along with his cousin Rafael to the Hotshots set on one of his few vacation days that were left. Rafa convinced him that even though he didn’t have an agent (or any desire to have one) and he hadn’t been hired for the gig, if he just showed up, they would let him on set.
And the bastard had been right. They rolled up to the gate and went through with Rafa’s work pass, and then he was dragged before the Assistant Director, who looked him up and down, and then made a slower pass before nodding thoughtfully.
“You look like you were meant to run into burning buildings. Have you ever done this before?”
“Not as such, ma’am. I served two tours as an Army Medic.”
“So respectful,” she said, patting his cheek, “Heather, get him set up with paperwork and then take him to Rochelle for a costume. We’re going to make a firefighter out of you today.”

Summary
When they got off the plane, dozens of emergency vehicles greeted them. It was strange, considering the plane hadn't burst into flames midair, at least not to Buck's knowledge.
There was a fluttering of activity yet no word on why they were stuck there.
The passengers were bystanders to the chaos until someone shouted, "Excuse me, there are sick people here. Can you tell us what's going on?"
"The problem is, ladies and gentlemen, that your plane departed April 9th, 2021. Today is June 12th, 2026."
"You have all been missing and presumed dead for more than five years."

Eddie hears Buck talking softly with Theo in the background as he grabs Adriana and Sophia’s arms.
‘’Not a word to him,’’ he hisses at his sisters.
‘’About what?’’ Adriana smirks.
‘’About whatever you think this is. It’s not that.’’
His heart is beating so fast that he’s convinced that if anyone were to take his pulse right now, they would’ve wanted to admit him to the hospital.
‘’Oh, and what is it then Edmundo?’’ Sophia teases.
‘’And stop calling me that!’’
‘’I’ll stop calling you that when you stop being stupid mi hermano,’’ Sophia snickers again.
Eddie yanks on his hair. ‘’I’m in hell. I’m in actual hell.’’
