“Does she know?” Chiyoh asked him when Will rushed the dogs into the castle, herself following suit carrying a very grumpy cat she had found in Vilnius and had adopted immediately, before Hannibal could even say “you're not a cat person though”.
“She does,” Hannibal said.
“And stays…” Chiyoh said slowly.
“Yes.”
“There's a zombie in the cellar, can I kill him or are we keeping him as a souvenir?” Will emerged from the castle. The cat was sitting on her shoulders and hissing. The dogs were barking and running and quite happily pissing in the corners.
Chiyoh stared at Will, Will stared back.
“Ok, well, I'm doing it.” Will shrugged.
By the time she returned carrying the head of Chiyoh's prisoner in her hand, backbone and all, Chiyoh had gone. -
