Things change, starting from the moment that Klaus and Ben fight in 2x06 and Dave's visit to the cult mansion. How will these new powers affect Klaus and his actions? And what about Ben, the rest of the family, and the apocalypse? Can the world still be saved without Ben's possession privileges?

“We can’t outrun them forever, Five”, Luther breathed heavily. “We need a plan”.
“I know we need a plan”, Five hissed back, stepping menacingly towards Luther. “But right now there’s an army of deadly assassins about sixty seconds away from killing us. So, unless you come up with an inspiring plan within the next sixty seconds, I suggest we keep running!”
“That’s what we’ve been doing since they started chasing us!”
“I scouted ahead”, Five continued hurriedly, turning and pointing into the darkness. “I think I found somewhere we can lose them. Or, at least enough of them to give us a fighting chance”.
Klaus groaned again, wanting nothing more than to slump down against the wall. “That’s what you said about the mall and the underground parking garage”, he whined miserably.

Klaus (inexplicably) saves the day.

This takes place post the season 3 finale. My goal is to stay loyal to canon but I've only seen pieces of the show since I started writing this so there may be inconsistencies.

This is a rewrite of my fic here. I didn't know I would have more to say but more and more of the story kept revealing itself to me and I need to get it out.
