And what that had to do with anything, even Clark didn't know… Batman was a professional at making the alien feel flustered. He mastered the whole ‘being intimidating’ concept.
"Is that so?" Batman turned back toward him, and it was clear even he didn't understand what the other was getting at.
"Yes… you know, the Moon is so beautiful. If you look up at it, it doesn't blind you like the Sun… you can just simply admire it." By this point, Clark had taken his eyes off Batman and started looking up at the Moon.
OR, Clark starts to ramble about his fascination with the Moon to Bruce, and Bruce takes it as a sign to send Clark pictures of it.

Summary
Professor Charles, though the best professor of the Genoshan University and an exemplary man, isn’t particularly considered ‘hot’ or ‘datable’ by either his colleagues or students. With his frumpy sweater vests and thick cardigans and khakhi pants and thick glasses and a soft middle that comes from a life in academia, he paints the picture of a grandpa, not exactly a man in the prime of his youth. So it comes as a shock to everyone one day when someone hits on Charles when they’re all out on a drink and Charles turns them down citing he’s married. This goes on and on. Charles citing that he’s married on multiple occasions, but not giving away anything about his so-called ‘husband’. His colleagues and students conclude that Charles is making it up since he doesn’t want to cover up his sad, loveless life and inspire pity towards him from others.
Then they learn that Charles is actually married to Genosha’s footballer with a golden leg, Erik Magnus Lehnsherr.
Aka: The times they didn’t believe Charles was married and the time they did.

In Clark’s defends he never actually intended any of this happening. He was actually happy and content with living in his old apartment after his divorce with Lois. Close enough to visit Jon every day, and he actually enjoy his job as an investigative journalist. The problem was that without Lois there to act as his impulse control 24/7, he tends to do reckless thing. It started really small actually, annoyance, Clark was annoyed when he wrote the article about Bruce Wayne being offensively ignorant, infuriating and lazy. He was annoyed that instead of real-world problem like the current war between Ukraine and Russia or even any other project, Clark was tasked to write an article about “The Gotham Beloved Prince” Bruce Wayne. In his defence, Clark believes 100% of what he wrote based on his investigation, regardless how generous Brucie is he is still ignorant airheaded billionaire that has never actually experience working in a minimum wage job.
The problem is Jon convinced that his new day-care teacher, Mr. B, is the perfect stepfather for him

Months later, single and thoroughly miserable, Erik spots a familiar figure across a busy London street. What happens next is, technically, Pietro's fault.
